Steps to Draw an Ear

1. Start with a shape like a sweet potato
   Make a big curved shape that’s wider at the top and thinner at the bottom. Don’t close it all the way — leave a little gap on one side.

2. Draw a half-heart shape inside
   Near the top, draw a line that looks like part of a heart. It’s light and curved.

3. Add curved lines inside the ear
   From the widest part you just drew, make curved lines toward the back. Then add a “mountain” shape and follow it to make an “almond” shape.

4. Make a “U” shape above the almond shape
   Draw two light “U” shapes — one above the almond, one near the top. These will help with shading and shape.

5. Draw a curve between the almond and the back of the ear
   Add a gentle curved line between the almond shape and the back. Then close off the ear hole with a little teardrop and mountain shape.

6. Add more space
   Fill in some of the area above that cartilage you drew. It helps give depth.

7. Shade to make it look real
   This is the fun part! Use your pencil (or digital) to add light and dark where the ear has shadows. It makes the ear look real. Also, look at a real ear for reference.
