Mastering two-point perspective can be your ticket to creating depth and realism in your art like never before ...
JAE JOHNS DIGEST
Hello friend!
Are you ready to take your drawings to the next level? Mastering two-point perspective can be your ticket to creating depth and realism in your art like never before. This technique, widely used in architectural and still-life drawings, is perfect for adding a lifelike 3D effect to buildings, rooms, and more.
Here’s why embracing two-point perspective will transform your art:
Realistic Depth: By understanding how vanishing points work, you can make any flat surface appear three-dimensional.
Dynamic Compositions: Two-point perspective allows you to create balanced, engaging compositions with elements that "pop."
Versatile Applications: Perfect for both beginners and pros, this method is key for drawing everything from simple cubes to complex cityscapes.
Getting started is simpler than you might think. Here’s a quick breakdown of the essentials:
Set up your Horizon Line: This determines your viewer’s eye level.
Identify Two Vanishing Points: These points bring realism to your structures.
Use Guidelines for Precision: Lines that converge correctly bring a sense of order and depth.

TODAY’S RECOMMENDATIONS

To be honest, I don’t really use a pencil set that much, but if you’re starting out or doing a lot of shading with pencils then I recommend them.
There are different grades of pencils, and when you’re starting out you don’t know which one you’ll like the most.
Getting an inexpensive but high quality pencil set allows you to try different pencil grades and an assortment of drawing supplies.
Plus this one allows you to work in grey tones with the pencils, black with the charcoals, or add some color with the conte sticks!
Looking for something cute and colorful? Well, a pencil set doesn’t have to be the same boring colors anymore.
Have a great day,
Jae
